How much does a Half Hog cost?

This answer will always be an estimate until the date of processing, because it depends on the size of the hog. It will cost $4.00 per pound based on the rail weight. It will be in the neighborhood of $400 to $480. But please remember, it's an ESTIMATE!

How much meat will I get?

Again, this is an estimate based on the rail weight! A whole hog will be anywhere from 220 to 260 pounds. A half hog will be 110 to 130 pounds.

How many RIBS will I get?

Whole Hog will get you 2 full racks, Half Hog will get you 1 full rack.

Do I pay in advance?

First time customers are required to pay a $75 Deposti on a half hog and $150 on a whole hog order. This deposit will be deducted from the total at time of delivery - when payment in full is required.

Do you process the hogs yourselves?

No. We take our hogs to a USDA approved facility in West Tennessee to be processed.

How much freezer space will I need?

Whole Hog- 6 cubit feet. Half Hog -3 cubit feet

Where do I pick up my meat?

We deliver to your town if you live within a 30 mile radius of Humboldt, TN. We set up a meeting place in advance for our customers who live outside of the 30 mile radius.

What's the best way to transport my meat?

Coolers are the best way, but if you live close, baskets and boxes are just fine to use. Remember: A whole hog will fill 4 large coolers.
